Mod-themed Dansette Bermuda record player on eBay
If the idea floats your boat, there is a mod-themed Dansette Bermuda record player on eBay.
By mod-themed, I’m going by the fact that there’s a ‘Jimmy’ image on the inside of the lid, a red, white and blue finish, a similar finish for the turntable and a target button on the front. That’s pretty much the mod aspect.
Beyond that, this is actually a south after record player in its own right. The prices of original Dansette players keep going up and up.
The one here has been ‘fully refurbished electrically, mechanically and cosmetically’, with new ‘Rexine’ type leathercloth, the deck cleaned and lubricated, the valve amplifier restored to its best and a preamp circuit added, as well as a modern stereo cartridge.
This player comes complete with a plug-in Bluetooth receiver which allows you to play music from your Bluetooth device via the record player. Oh yes, the legs are there too.
Not cheap though. This is £450 on a ‘Buy It Now’ or you can make a cheaper offer.
